Although this site is right now under construction we already want to update you with the most important information.
The Greek Evangelical Church has come to Larissa in 1990.
First meeting as a home group, we were able to buy our own property in a central place in the town in 1996 and as a church we are slowly but steadily growing. Since October 2008 we moved from the 1st to the 3rd floor of the building as we needed more space.
Our services are held twice a Sunday: 10.30 in the morning and 20.00 in the evening (19.00 during winter time).
In the morning we have English translation and also our worship is bilingual. Although we are a Greek Church in which Greek is the first language we have a variety of people from several different nations visiting us. Other languages that are spoken by members of our congregation are Spanish, French, German, Rumanian, Albanian, Chinese and Dutch. We have both child care as well as Sunday school (6-12 years old) on Sunday mornings.
During the week we meet together twice:
- On Tuesday we have both men and women meetings, and on Thursdays we have our prayer meetings. All these meetings start at 20.00 (19.00 during winter times).
- Our young people meet at Saturday evenings.
Some of the other ministries our church is involved in:
- Mercy ministry: giving out 2nd hand clothes and helping families and individuals in need
- Albanian ministry: Albanian meetings once in two weeks
- Roma ministry: reaching out to Roma community in and outside of Larissa
- Youth ministry: ministering to the youth
- Christian bookshop "O LOGOS"
